DAC Accords First AON Under Strategic Partnership

Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) led by Raksha Mantri Nirmala Sitharaman has accorded the Acceptance of Necessity (AON), under Strategic Partnership model for first time .

DAC approved the 111 naval utility helicopter for Navy under Make In India

16 Naval Utility Helicopters will be taken in fly away condition and 95 will be delivered in later stage by the Indian manufacturer. Total cost for procuring NUH will be 21,738 Crore.

9 active Towed Array Sonar system for Indian Navy vessels and submarines will also be procured at a cost of Rs 450 Crores.It will help in submarine detection capabilities.
