Border Security Force (BSF), an armed central force under MHA, Government of India, formed vide BSF Act-1968, is committed to safeguard the Indo-Pakistan and Indo-Bangladesh borders, as India’s first line of defence, looks forward to dynamic combination of various integrative technologies to strengthen the border security grid and corresponding internal security domains.
BSF is inducting technology in a big way to make its responses more efficient as well as effective, be it CIBMS, Communication platforms, infrastructure up-gradation or health care. The organization is working towards inducting not technology but also augmenting human capacity to optimize its uses. Market offered standard formats are being customized for BSF use in peculiar situations that might call in for indigenous R&D. For any growing organization to maintain its efficacy, all the above aspects are important.
In order to meet above objectives, BSF is entering into a MoU with IIT, Bombay in a function at FHQ on 8th July 2017 at 0930 hrs in the Conference hall at 1st Floor. MoU will be signed between K K Sharma, DG BSF, on behalf of BSF and Dr Devang V Khakhar, Director, IIT Bombay on behalf of NCEITS, IIT Bombay.
Joint Secretary (BM) and Joint Secretary (PM) may attend the function as a representative of the Home Ministry.
