Senior Indian Army officials categorically denied allegations made by filmmaker Tapan Bose. Tapan Bose while addressing a rally in New Delhi on CAA yesterday had said that Pakistan Army and Indian Army are alike. Tapan Bose’s statement is read by Indians as insult to Indian Army.
Tapan Bose said, “Pakistan is not an enemy country, ruling class of India & Pakistan are alike. Our armies are alike too, their army kills their people and our army kills our people, there is no difference between them. If you go to Pakistan and talk to people, they will be very polite to you. In every sentence, they just say ‘compromise should happen, you do something’.”
Senior Army Officers have categorically rejected the statement and has alluded to an attempt to malign reputation of Indian Army
Indian Army strengthens the idea of India and lives by the national values.
The Army is dedicated to preserve national interests, safeguard sovereignty, territorial integrity and unity of our Nation.
We uphold the ideals of the Constitution of India, thwart proxy wars, defeat internal threats, assist our Government and the people of India and all our actions are dedicated to the Nation.
The Indian Army does not discriminate on account of caste, creed or religion.
A soldier is a soldier first and anything else later. He prays under a common roof. It is this unique character, which makes him bind in a team despite such diversity.
The Army Chief recently affirmed dedication to the Constitution and the apolitical and secular fabric of the great institution.
