ICGS Samudra Pavak apprehends heroin worth Rs 3500 crore

The Indian Coast Guard Ship Samudra Pavak has intercepted and apprehended a Merchant Vessel carrying approximately about 1500 kgs of heroine valued about Rs 3500 Crore off the Coast of Gujarat based on intelligence input.

This is the largest single haul of narcotics substances till date.

The vessel has been brought to Porbandar on 30 Jul 17. The joint investigation of the vessel by the ICG, IB,  Police, Customs, Navy and other agencies will be conducted.
