Another country to jump on the plunder bandwagon of Balochistan is Saudi Arabia which sent a high level delegation to Pakistan for mining the gold rich areas of Reko Diq and which was the main reason of Atif Mian’s ouster accelerated by Imran Khan.

DG ISPR announced Khush-Haal Balochistan through twitter and invited an unprecedented wrath. General public has questioned the intent and sincerity. Pakistan has to be sincere while dealing with their own people who obviously have been dumped due to lure of Chinese money and CPEC. China’s indiscriminate mining of protected areas in the province invited massive protest rallies in the United Kingdom, Germany and other European countries.
The Pakistani Army Chief, General Qamar Bajwa in Sep 18, in his bid to assuage the alienation of Baloch people, and without paying any heed to the federal government had launched ‘Khushhal Balochistan’. The propaganda wing of the Pakistani Army, ISPR headed by Major General Asif Ghafoor termed it as a socio-economic development process. The step did not have the prior approval of the federal government, then under caretaker Prime Minister Shahid Abbasi. So obviously the gimmick of ‘Khushhal Balochistan’ is Pak Army initiative and intervention to diffuse the crises and mask the blatant sell-out of Balochistan.
Balochistan is extremely rich in gas, oil and mineral resources which have been exploited by Pakistan. However people of Balochistan have been alienated from the mainstream.
So what is the impact of such intervention like ‘Khushaal Balochistan’, which is not guided by the executive authority? The Balochi protests that were witnessed across Germany and United Kingdom on Oct 1st, 2018 against the ‘Badhaal’ policy speak a different story. Thousands of Balochis marched in unison against the sell-out of their motherland, under Pakistani subjugation since 1947, to the Chinese.
The protests by the Free Balochistan Movement (FBM) were mainly against the China – Pakistan collusion to allow a massive immigration of Chinese and Punjabis inside Balochistan and mine the mineral rich areas of Saindak and Reko Diq. FBM also targeted the army led Khushhal Balochistan movement as being a subterfuge and a means to hide the brutal atrocities perpetrated by the Pakistani army.
Another country to jump on the plunder bandwagon of Balochistan is Saudi Arabia which sent a high level delegation to Pakistan for mining the gold rich areas of Reko Diq and which was the main reason of Atif Mian’s ouster accelerated by Imran Khan. The PM was highly scared of a religious conflagration that would consume the nation on the verge of this highly important visit.
The fact that there is a huge trouble brewing in Balochistan province is reflected by the following statement by a serving Member of Provincial Assembly in Balochistan:
This sit-in and protests has also attracted politicians from various parties.
How Khushhal actually is Balochistan? This is the real picture.
The Pakistani Army has brutalised Balochistan for decades leading to enforced disappearances of thousands of innocent people and turning the province into a large prison.
In recent years, the Pak Army has sold the province to the Chinese and Saudis, importing foreign workers in their thousands and depriving the Balochis of the revenues of the natural resources of their region. Despite being the most mineral rich province in the country, Balochistan is being treated dangerously on the lines of erstwhile East Pakistan, whose end result everyone is aware of.
