Nation Mourns The Death of Marshal Arjan Singh | Leaders Pay Tribute

Nation mourns the sad demise of Arjan Singh, Marshal of Indian Air Force. Speaking to National Defence, former defence minister AK Antony said, “country lost the greatest air warrior India has ever produced. His contribution for the modernisation of Indian Air Force can not be forgotten. He will be an inspiration for air warriors”. “Marshal has been a witness to the history of the Indian Air Force, whom he nurtured and gave shape to. Nation will fondly remember his role in the Indo-Pakistan War. Despite his stature, he was a humble man. He will be missed at functions as his towering personality will not be there, said Pallam Raju, former MoS Defence.

The passing away of the marshal of Indian Air Force is truely a very sad even Nation lost a true icon. We shall always remember the great contribution he has made towards the air force. His very humane and force structuring and visionary thinking that he made to make the Indian Air Force what it is today, FH Major, former Air Chief.

Former Army Chief and Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, General JJ Singh expressed grief over the death.

“Today is a sad day because we have lost truly remarkable military leader and an icon for all of us. I known him very well, and he was someone who motivated and inspired all of us. Personally I have been blessed with his kindness, he was the one who gave me proud privileged of having my book Soldier’s General released by him in 2012 And encouraged me when I was the chief and when I was the Governor”.

Admiral Sureesh Mehta recalled his contribution to the nation terming him a great human being. His memory will always in all those who have known about him”

He was outstanding flyer, far excellence officer, people will try to emulate him. He provided him great leadership in peace as well in war. Every aircraft that is inducted in air force, he flew it and flew it like a fighter pilot. My whole-hearted condolences on his passing away.
