ONGC Chopper Crash Voice Data Recorder Recovered

The voice data recorder (VDR) of the crashed Pawan Hans Dauphin N3 chopper operating with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has been recovered. Search of missing crew / survivors continues.

The helicopter with 5 ONGC officials and 2 pilots crashed yesterday when it lost contact with ATC 25 minutes after after taking off from Juhu. The aircraft went incommunicado before it could land at North field at 10:55 am.

The DGCA Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) is has taken over the investigations of the accident.
