Pakistan Did It Again. Violates Ceasefire. One Officer And Two Jawans Martyred on LoC In Rajouri Sector

Jammu, 23 December 2017

An Officer and two Jawans were martyred in Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked cease fire violation on Indian Army posts in Rajouri sector in the afternoon today.

Major Moharkar Prafulla Ambadas, Lance Naik Gurmail Singh and Sepoy Pargat Singh were grievously injured during the cease fire violation and succumbed to their injuries. Two other personnel also sustained injuries and are under medical treatment.

Major Moharkar Prafulla Ambadas aged 32 years, belonged to District Bhandara, Maharashtra and is survived by his wife Smt Avoli Moharkar. Lance Naik Gurmail Singh aged 34 years, belonged to District Amritsar, Punjab and is survived by his wife Kuljit Kaur and a daughter. Sepoy Pargat Singh aged 30 years, belonged to District Karnal, Haryana and is survived by his wife Ramanpreet Kaur and a son.

Major Moharkar Prafulla Ambadas, Lance Naik Gurmail Singh and Sepoy Pargat Singh were brave and sincere soldiers. The nation will always remain indebted to them for their supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty.

Indian Army has retaliated strongly and effectively on Pakistan Army posts. Martyrdom of Indian Army soldiers will not go in vain.

Update: Another soldier from 2 Sikh Regiment also succumbed to injuries raising number of martyrs to 4.
