Today, CRPF turn out to be savior for a tribal woman in Naxal infested Dantewada area. Surprisingly, no Maoists came for the help of tribal woman, who was saved from clutches of death by CRPF. D/195 Battiion of Central Reserve Police Force was conducting special operations in interior areas of Surnar under PS Kattekalyan in district Dantewada in Bastar region of Chattisgarh. CRPF Troops noticed two children including a 2 month baby crying in front of their house.
The house was a thatched roof located away from the main village. On enquiry the elder child took the troops inside the house where his mother was lying with high fever and dehydration probably Malaria. Children were fed with food materials carried by the troops. Her husband had gone into jungles for rearing cattles.
Immediately, Devaram Assistant Commandant of CRPF took a decision to evacuate her to the Community Health Centre Kattekalyan. Nearest motorable road was 7 kms. A bamboo stretcher was made and the CRPF troops carried her on shoulders.
Watch the real CRPF Heros of Dantewada executing the praiseworthy operarion
7 kms stretch was difficult terrain with thick jungles, hillocks and rivers with high current as it is monsoon season in those areas. Meanwhile the message was passed onto D/195 Bn Hqr to bring the ambulance to a designated place and the tribal lady is admitted in Katekalyan community health centre and recovering. Husband of the lady had thanked Devaram Assistant Commandant, 195 Bn CRPF with tears in his eyes.
This noble gesture of carrying the lady by CRPF men on their shoulders was appreciated by Medical staff. CRPF is saving the lives and future of tribal peoples by combating the menace of Maoism.
