On this republic day, a NCC girl, who has bagged this year’s Raksha Mantri Padak craves the attention of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath.
The girl’s name is Priya. She is an ex NCC cadet and Raksha Mantri Nirmala Sitharaman awarded her Raksha Mantri Padak on 22nd January for being exceptional national shooter.
Raksha Mantri Padak was instituted in the year 1989 and awarded to the most deserving NCC Cadet for exceptional bravery and exceptional service of highest order.
Priya has been a national champion for three years. She In 2015-16 she participated from NCC while in 2017 she participated from UP State. She could not qualify for International Championship by 1 point in 2016. This year she has already qualified 2 trials out of 6 while 4 are still remaining.
Priya is no doubt exceptional shooter and has lot of potential but her problem is that she is an Ex NCC cadet. That means she has no access to rifles for her shooting practices. She rents rifle to practice but the rent is not affordable as she is from very poor family. Now, to get rid of the problem, she is making a request to UP CM Yogi Adityanath to support her cause.
Can UP CM Mr Yogi Adityanath heed to her requests and support this extraordinary talent- this extraordinary UP girl, the daughter of India.
