Search for Survivors of Pawan Hans Chopper Crash Intensifies

Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard has intensified the search for survivors of PAwan Hans Dauphins N3 Chopper crash. Till last evening 4 deadbodies have been recovered in the unfortunate crash.

According to defence sources, INS Teg is coordinating the search in the area. INS Teg & Tarasa, ICG Ships Samudra Prahari, Achook, & Agrim in area. INS Makar (twin hulled catamaran hydrography ship) from Karwar  enroute to area to augment Search efforts.

ICGS Samrat sailed out from Mumbai has joined SAR ops. ICG Dornier  ex- Daman in area. IN Seaking 42 B ex-Shikra in area.

Besides ONGC has deployed 9 Vessels employed for search in area.

ONGC vessel TAG 15 undertaking Side Scan Sonar (SSS) ops have found some debris 600 yards from wreckage position.

Diving team ex- Samudra Sevak is preparing to undertake Diving Ops.

Diving team ex INS Teg is standby.
