Meet Three Indian Army Women Officers India Is Proud of This Republic Day! Lieutenant Anchal Dutt is representing Indian Army on the tri- services tableau of Directorat of Veterans. Captain Tamanna Bhasin is contingent commander of TSAT vehicle, which is a defcom equipment providing communication to Army, Airforce and Navy. Lietenant Garima Kulhari is representing Air Defence tableau as she commands the Akash missile launcher being showcased in the republic day parade-2017. Products That Makes You Hot n Healthy
India is also proud to have UAE contingent leading this years Republic Day parade. This is second time that a foreign armed force contingent is participating in Republic Day parade. Last year French contingent participated while it is now the turn of UAE armed forces contingent.
The UAE contingent is led by Brigadier Obaid R. Al Zauhmi while Lt. Col. Oboud is the contingent commander. There would be 144 personnel from UAE Army, Navy, Air Force & Presidential Guards in 12×12 column marching on Rajpath on 26th January. “India and UAE are enjoing good relations since long. There are 144 contingent and 35 the band personnel, total 184 participating this time. We are feeling very well. We have got very warm welcome here and Indian Government has given good opportunity for the military to cooperate to have come and meet all together”, said Brigadier Obaid R. Al Zauhmi while speaking to NationalDefence exclusively in Arabic. His statement was translated in English by Mr. Tanvir Alam exclusively for NationalDefence.
Major General Rajesh Sahai, Chief of Staff, Delhi Area termed the participation as a proud moment for India and hoped that the trend which started last year will continue in future as well. Sahai said “this gives good opportunity for the armed force personnels from both the countries to know and interact with each other”. The UAE contingent would lead the parade with M16 rifle just after Param Vir Chakra (PVC) awardees.
