Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that he welcomes the Lebanan’s decision to disarm the Hezbollah by the end of this year. The move by President Aoun and PM Salem will offer a crucial opportunity for Lebanon to reclaim its sovereignty and restore the authority of its state institutions, military, and governance—free from the influence of non-state actors.

Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his willingness to support Lebanon in its efforts to disarm Hezbollah. Netanyahu’s statement reads, “If the Lebanese Armed Forces take the necessary steps to implement the disarmament of Hezbollah, Israel will engage in reciprocal measures, including a phased reduction of IDF presence in coordination with the US-led security mechanism”.

Earlier, PM Netanyahu briefed about Israeli strikes on Yemen’s Houthi’s in capital Sanaa. According to IDF the targets included a military site in which the presidency palace is located, the Adar and Hizaz power plants, and a site for storing fuel—all used for the military activity of the Houthi regime.
These strikes were carried out in response to repeated Houthi attacks on Israel with missiles and UAVs. Israel alleges that the Houthis, backed by Iran, continue to exploit civilian infrastructure for terror purposes. Netanyahu claimed all planes returned safe after the strikes on Houthis.

On Gaza front, Israel has continued its strikes as late as on 25th August. According to media reports, at least 4 journalists were killed in Israeli strikes on a hospital in Gaza. According to the Committee to Protect Journalists, a total of 192 journalists killed in Gaza in the 22-month conflict with Hamas.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said that Israeli aircraft and tanks bombed the fourth floor of the Nasser Medical Complex in Palestine on 25 august 2025 . The second attack was carried out shortly after the first attack targeting emergency workers and ambulance workers which led to death of More than 51 which included journalist from different organizations and 300 people were injured.
Israeli pm Netanyahu also face intense pressure from Israel from families of hostages who want him to negotiate and end the war and bring their family member back home . About 20 hostages are still held hostages in Gaza by Hamas that are believed to be alive. The Israeli prime minister announced Israel’s intention to conquer the entire Gaza Strip after indirect talks with Hamas on a ceasefire and hostage release deal broke down last month.
