In a massive rescue operation conducted despite tough weather conditions and challenging situation, the aviation assets of Indian Army’s White Knight Corps conducted seventeen shuttles for ten hours and rescued twenty-seven security forces personnel, who were stuck in flooded water at Jourian in Akhnoor sub division of Jammu district.
The army authorities categorised this operation to be one of the toughest one which was carried out successfully despite challenging weather conditions.
This rescue and relief operation, described as a ‘daring rescue operation, was conducted on 27 August 2025 by Aviation assets of White Knight Corps in the general area of Jourian.
The rescue operation entailed air evacuation of 27 distressed personnel trapped in inundated islands and safely relocated them, said the army in its official statement. The effort included a total of seventeen shuttles over ten hours of challenging weather and adverse conditions.
The troops of White Knight Corps as first responders in the Jammu region, saved precious lives and reinforced its commitment of serving people in distress.
