More than 130 US officials have been impacted by the “mysterious” episodes that precipitated unexplained brain injury — the ‘Havana syndrome’. Their symptoms included headaches, nausea, bloody noses and mild brain injury. Many reported hearing grating like noises, or sudden pressure and vibrations. The officials afflicted by Havana syndrome include US diplomats, spies and military intelligence officials who were on overseas assignments. Pentagon has now launched its own inquiry into suspected microwave attacks on US troops in the Middle East. CIA was perplexed what caused debilitating afflictions.
