PM Modi celebrated his first Diwali after assuming the PM office at Siachen glacier, followed by visits to Punjab’s border, Sumdo in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir’s Gurez sector, Uttarakhand’s Harsil, Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri, Rajasthan’s Longewala, Kashmir’s Nowshera, Kargil, and last year PM Modi celebrated Diwali in Himachal’s Lepcha.

Addressing jawans on the occasion, PM Modi said India can not compromise even an inch of land on its borders. PM Modi echoed the public sentiments that Indians believe in the strength and capabilities of Indian military to defend the country.
